How Invisalign Works

Orthodontics-InvisalignInvisalign is a state-of-the-art method for straightening teeth that requires no metal brackets or wires. The Invisalign system uses advanced computer technology to design custom, clear plastic aligners that are made specifically to fit your teeth. Our orthodontists will set up your case on a simulated computer model using their expertise and understanding of predictable tooth movement. You’ll wear the aligners for about two weeks before getting a new set. As time goes on, your teeth will gradually shift into place and straighten out to give you the perfect smile. For best results, it’s recommended that you wear your aligners for 20-22 hours each day, which takes minimal effort and is very convenient.

Benefits Of Invisalign

Invisalign is often a preferred method of straightening teeth because it does not pose the same restrictions that braces do. Invisalign aligners are comfortable to wear and removable which allows you to:

  • Eat whatever you want without restrictions.
  • Maintain improved oral hygiene, since you’re able to brush and floss the way you normally would.
  • Continue to participate in physical activities without the worry that your brackets might break.
  • Spend less time at the orthodontic office since Invisalign requires less chair time with the orthodontist than braces.
  • Remove the aligners whenever you want!
